From children to the elderly, it’s hard to find a person who doesn’t know this Japanese anime. From 1990, the manga started being frequently published and the anime started broadcasting in 1992. 26 years have passed and it is still airing today!
As for the manga, the author pasted away in 2010 and his assistants took over the production changing the name of the manga to ‘New Crayon Shin-Chan’. The manga is still being released today.
For a limited time only, there is a Crayon Shin-Chan shop that has opened in Sapporo. The shop is filled with many themed goods for sale such as backpacks, socks, and mugs. The Shiro (Crayon Shin-Chan’s dog) themed backpack is especially cute! They also sell a variety of sweets which make great gifts for friends and family. There are also collaborative products with the Japanese baseball team Yomiuri Giants including pin badges. Apart from the goods, the shop layout is actually quite fun and includes a photo spot to take pictures with the characters from Crayon Shin-Chan.
Even if you are bringing your children you will probably find something that you enjoy or would like to purchase. The shop will close on the 19th August 2018 so be sure to visit before then!
