We are at the peak of summer, are you enjoying the weather? During this time, there have been instances of heat exhaustion, so please be sure to drink plenty of water!
We would like to take a moment to talk about the Hokkaido Jingu, located right here in Sapporo. Hokkaido Jingu, otherwise known as Hokkaido Imperial Shrine, was established in the Central Ward of Sapporo City in 1989 to honor the guardian deities of Hokkaido. Here, the spirits of Okunitamanokami, Onamuchinokami, and Sukunahikonanokami are enshrined.
It can get very busy when everyone visits the shrine during the New Year, and when the cherry blossoms start blooming, crowds of people will flock to the shrine as well. Whether it is for good fortune or prosperity or anything in between, people all over come to this shrine to get an abundance of good luck.
Would you care to visit Hokkaido Jingu, and get visited by good fortune?
