Nakajima Park is a public park which can be reached on foot in just 5 minutes from our hotel. Within the park is Toyohira Building, a western-style building that represents the Meiji period. There is also a Japanese Garden and Hasso-An (traditional tea house) which is a government designated important cultural property. At the center of Nakajima Park lies a great big pond in which you can also rent a paddle boat to float around. Throughout the snowy Hokkaido winter, the park offers a cross country skiing course in which rental equipment such as shoes, skis, and poles are free. The park is a really beautiful place to take a stroll and we highly recommend checking it out early in the morning after departing from our hotel! Feel free to ask us for directions next time you are at the front desk.
