Hello everyone, happy New Year 2019!
We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to every one of our special guests that have stayed with us over the past year. We hope that 2019 will be even better and that we will continue having great interactions with all of you.
In each country around the world, the New Year is celebrated in different ways. In many western countries, the celebrations often consist of fireworks and parties with friends and loved ones. Likewise, although there are not traditionally fire work displays, the Japanese celebrate the New Year as a time for family gatherings, visiting shrines and temples, and of course, eating delicious food.
The contents of Japanese New Year cuisine (o-sechi ryori) varies from family to family and many areas around Japan have their own unique take on the dish.
With that been said, in this blog we would like to introduce our January and February special breakfast menu.
Sanpei soup is a delicious traditional soup from Hokkaido that includes daikon, carrots, roots vegetables, and salmon. It has a light taste but a very deep, rich flavour.
Hokkaido potatoes, baked in the oven and topped with delicious cheese.
Rice mixed with succulent pieces of chicken and ginger. Perfect for a cold winters day!
Once again, we wish you all the best for 2019 and hope you can try our special menu when you visit our hotel!
