Shiroi Koibito Park

Good afternoon everybody!

Today we will be introducing Shiroi Koibito Park, a popular Hokkaido confectionery theme park where you can see, eat, and personally experience how Ishiya’s ‘Shiroi Koibito’ is made.

For those of you who are wondering, Shiroi Koibito is a famous Sapporo chocolate which features white chocolate that is sandwiched between freshly-baked thin wafer cookies. The cookie is baked until the edges turn brown and has a light texture that melts in your mouth.

As well as viewing the Shiroi Koibito chocolate manufacturing process, there is also a nice collection of historic antique tea cups and saucers on display. Outside the factory, there is a beautiful English rose garden in which, from mid-May to October, 120 different types of roses bloom. When it becomes winter, 11,000 decorative lights illuminate the garden and create a magical atmosphere.

Our number one recommendation is to make your very own Shiroi Koibito through the experience workshop. The park will provide you with an apron, a hat, and shoes cover so that you can make a heart shaped, 14cm Shiroi Koibito to take home! You can also write a message on the cookie using chocolate! Reservation is required for this workshop so for more detail please make a phone call or look at the Shiroi Koibito Park website homepage.

Also, if you are a soccer fan, you should definitely check out the Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo training soccer pitch which is located next to the Shiroi Koibito Park (the team’s main sponsor).

When you visit Sapporo for tourism and want to do something fun for all the family you should definitely go to Shiroi Koibito Park!
